The motto of this program: Joy of playing! It leads from the delicate and
technically refined sonatas by the Italian harpsichord virtuoso Domenico Scarlatti to the Fantasque by André-Francois Marescotti - the compulsory piece of the Geneva piano competition of 1939, which is bursting with humor and temperament. A special highlight are the Chinese miniatures by Abram Chasins and the piano pieces on original Chinese folk songs by Wang Jianzhong. In the second part the piano dances: The charming "Polkas de salon" by Bedřich Smetana carry you off with Slavic coloring to the salon culture of the 19th century whereas two atmospheric Spanish dances and the captivating "Allegro de Concierto" by Enrique Granados lead you to the sensual and passionate musical world of Spain.
