„A fascinating East-meets-West album"

"German Piano Princess"

Praised for her elegant execution, beautiful tone and remarkable virtuosity, pianist Lydia Maria Bader has been described as “one of the leading pianists of Germany” (Neue Musikzeitung).  Audiences and the press alike admire her charming moderation and thematically-conceived programs, which often venture into lesser-known territories of the piano literature. 10 concert tours to China have led to Lydia's close ties to Asia. Celebrated by the Chinese media as the "German Piano Princess", her concert tours from South China to Inner Mongolia have already attracted tens of thousands of visitors. In 2016 she was appointed cultural ambassador for the Gansu province. With her recent CD release "Chinese Dreams" by ARS Produktion she wants to express the musical connection between China and the western world.

"One of Germany's leading pianists"

(...)[Lydia Maria Bader] certainly made an impression on me with this disc. The pianism is excellent with plenty of thrilling fireworks in these exciting transcriptions or the manic presto of Chasins' Rush hour and her layering of voices is marvellous. Her mastery of dynamic contrasts is wonderful as is the delicacy of her touch – just listen to the opening of the first of Niemann's Alt China or her plaintive trills in the Chinese Nightingale. This is an album I will listen to again and again and is likely to be on my record of the year list.
