(...)[Lydia Maria Bader] certainly made an impression on me with this disc. The pianism is excellent with plenty of thrilling fireworks in these exciting transcriptions or the manic presto of Chasins' Rush hour and her layering of voices is marvellous. Her mastery of dynamic contrasts is wonderful as is the delicacy of her touch – just listen to the opening of the first of Niemann's Alt China or her plaintive trills in the Chinese Nightingale. This is an album I will listen to again and again and is likely to be on my record of the year list.

High-class Recital with Lydia Maria Bader
(…) With Granados’ “El amor y la muerte” Lydia Maria Bader showed a wide range of colours, pensive and sweet, but also full of spirit, passion and sensuality. Also with the Scherzi by Chopin the artist won the audience over with her lucid, almost caressing touch.

About the Uniqueness of Mozart
(…) The uniqueness of Mozart, his soul, showed in the “little a major concerto” KV 414. Under Lydia Bader’s hands the Bösendorfer grandpiano, normally known for its bright brilliancy, started to glow wonderfully softly. (…) If you want to draw a comparison: the girls from Far East presented everything you expect of a pianist. But an idea of the music’s soul you got by the German girl’s playing.
Young Soloists with the Philharmonic Orchestra Bad Reichenhall
With breathtaking virtuosity Lydia Maria Bader left a lasting impression with the first concerto by Liszt. (…) Even the most difficult octav-passages seemed easy. (…) With enormous emotional force she communicated with the huge orchestra.
